Chinese WeChat Chat Translation for UK Court and Family Evidence

I translate Chinese WeChat chat records for UK courts, tribunals and family-case evidence, with a signed ITI-certified English PDF. I preserve order, senders and timestamps. Price and delivery follow review of your screenshots or export. Send the relevant files through the quote form below; the translation does not prove the messages are authentic.

What's included

  • Message text, sender names, timestamps and original order
  • Screenshot or export references for line-by-line checking
  • Clear notes for visible emojis, images and voice-note transcripts
  • Signed accuracy statement with ITI membership number 00024532
  • PDF delivery for the evidence bundle

Ask the recipient about the evidence format

Civil Procedure Rule 32.1 lets a court direct the nature and presentation of evidence. Practice Direction 32 paragraph 23.2 concerns foreign-language witness statements and requires the translator to certify accuracy; it does not say every chat screenshot is a witness statement. Ask the solicitor, court or tribunal how it wants chat exhibits labelled and which date range matters.

What I translate from a thread

I keep the sequence of messages, sender labels, timestamps, date dividers, quoted replies and group-name changes visible in the supplied record. Each translated page points back to its screenshot or export filename. I mark missing or unreadable areas. An image, sticker or attachment is identified by type rather than invented content.

Voice notes and emojis need care

A voice note can be translated only from an audible file or a transcript you can provide; I identify which source was used and keep its position in the thread. Emojis remain in place, with a short translator’s note only where the visible symbol changes how adjacent words may be read. I do not present an automated speech transcript as a verified original.

Certification has a clear limit

The signed PDF confirms what the Chinese material supplied to me says in English. It does not establish who controlled an account, whether a screenshot was altered, or whether the export is complete. Those are evidence questions for the person supplying the record and the receiving body. Read my WeChat evidence guide before selecting files.

FAQs

No. I certify the accuracy of my English translation of the material supplied. Authenticity and completeness need separate evidence.

Send the date range requested by your solicitor or case handler, with enough adjacent context to show message order. I will confirm the scope before quoting.

Yes, if the audio is supplied and clear enough. I identify audio-derived text separately from typed messages.

It is priced after I review the export or screenshots. Message volume, legibility and audio change the work, so I do not quote a fixed page price.

I give an estimated digital delivery time after reviewing the selected files and deadline.

Requirements vary. Confirm the tribunal’s directions; a solicitor may choose a certified translation even where a rule asks only for an English translation.
