I am a certified Chinese translator and a proud member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI) in the UK. My Translation History
I began my career in 2015 as a certified Chinese translator with a listed company in Hong Kong. This role exposed me to industries like finance, accounting, and legal services, where I worked extensively with translations from Chinese to English and Chinese to Cantonese. Over the years, I’ve provided services for a diverse range of clients, including listed companies, governments, law firms, and accounting firms.
In 2017, I moved to Shanghai to lead a new division at RR Donnelley, managing a team of translators. This experience expanded my expertise to include financial translations, banking, insurance, and IPOs. I gained valuable insights into managing large-scale translation projects, especially within the finance and legal sectors.
By 2019, after the division dissolved, I transitioned into freelancing and began building my own team of expert translators. In 2020, I officially launched Rex Trans, continuing to offer services to meet my clients’ growing needs.
In 2021, I expanded into new sectors, including IT and software localization, working with notable clients like Workday and IBM. By 2022, I had ventured into the cryptocurrency space, offering translation services to clients such as KuCoin and Coinbase.
In 2023, I became officially certified by the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI), which opened doors to new clients across the UK and Europe. My services now include government projects, press releases, and website translations, all delivered with the highest standards.
